Y’all, it is almost my absolute most favorite time of the year - autumn!! After barely making it through the sweltering heat of the southern summer, I am counting down the days until cooler temperatures, sweater-weather, spiced cider, pumpkin everything, and all the fall festivals!

Around here, it doesn’t feel like autumn has started until we have attended the annual Cheekwood Harvest.  Cheekwood is Nashville’s botanic garden, arboretum, and art museum. Once the private estate of Leslie and Mabel Cheek, today Cheekwood boasts a beautiful historic mansion, 55 acres of gorgeous gardens, 1 and a half miles of wooded trails. 

From mid-September through the end of October, Cheekwood Harvest turns the estate into an autumnal wonderland complete with pumpkin houses, scraggly scarecrows, and giant mum topiaries. Visit on the weekend for performances by local musicians in the beer garden and some of Nashville’s finest food trucks. Join a Harvest Workshop for adults and try out a new hobby such as storytelling, arts and crafts or gardening. And bring the kiddos for TOTS Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 am – 12 pm for activities, storytime, and fall projects. And don’t forget to pick out a pumpkin or two to take home with you!  

Cheekwood Harvest runs from September 16 - October 29, 2023. Make sure you get your tickets before you go, because some dates will sell out!
