When traveling with kids, there are things that you need to make your travels easier and things that add fun and excitement to your travel experience. We feel like the list below is the perfect balance of both for the young travelers on your list this year.

Kid’s Travel Essentials Wish List -

  2. Kid’s Toiletry Bag

  3. Car Backseat Organizer

  4. SUSSED The Wacky 'What Would I Do?' Card Game

  5. Would You Rather? Made You Think! Edition

  6. Kid’s Travel Pillow

  7. Leak-Proof Water Bottle

  8. 50 States Water Bottle Stickers

  9. The Travel Book: A journey through every country in the world (Lonely Planet Kids)

  10. The Ultimate Travel Journal for Kids: Awesome Activities for Your Adventures

We are known to book over a thousand miles on some of our family road trips, and this double mount headrest tablet and phone holder is a must-have!

As the boys have gotten older, their toiletry needs have also grown.  These bags are perfect - not too childish but not too grown-up. And with plenty of room to grow.

Road trips for our family are synonymous with a backseat full of books, tablets, activity books, water bottles, snacks, and trash. Not only is it a complete mess, it is also impossible to find anything. These car backseat organizers are the perfect solution to the chaos!

We love family-friendly podcasts for an alternative to screen-time on a trip, but these card games (there are several versions) are also a great way to pass the hours in the car.  They are also a fun conversation starter for friends.

Similar to the SUSSED card games, this book provides hours of laughter with hilarious questions for kids that get harder as the book goes on.

Our kids are past the napping stage, but sometimes our travels go later into the evening, so these kid’s travel pillows are ideal for those occasions. One thing I absolutely love as a mom is these are completely washable!!

In an effort to travel more sustainably, we try really hard not to use a bunch of single use bottles when we are traveling. One of the best ways to do that is to make sure we have great tumblers and water bottles that we can reuse.

Speaking of water bottles, our boys are currently obsessed with water bottle stickers.  These 50 states stickers make a great stocking stuffer for young and not-so-young travel enthusiasts alike.  The boys are excited to add these to their new water bottles as they make off the states we have visited.

One thing we hope to start doing with the boys in the coming year or so is international travel.  This book is perfect to get them both excited and educated about some of our potential travel destinations.

Our youngest in particular LOVES to write in a journal.  This travel journal is a fun way for him to keep up with his travel memories and stories for years to come.
