Travel Tips - Packing for Kids

Travel Tips - Packing for Kids

I have been trying for quite a while to find a way to pack for my kids, so their luggage doesn’t look like they dumped on the floor and threw everything back in on day 2 of our trip. I personally like to use packing cubes for my own suitcase, but those don’t seem to work quite as well for the boys, so after some trial and error, I think I have found a method that works for us.

I purchased these reusable shoe bags and labeled them with the days of the week. Then for each day I packed the boys clothes, socks, underwear and pajamas. Finally, I put the bags into their suitcases in order to make it easy for them to just grab a bag each day.

I don’t think these bags would necessarily be large enough to pack like this for an adult, but they might work in the summer when clothes are less bulky.

I do also really love these bags for the boys’ and our shoes. We have previously used grocery bags for our shoes, which works fine. But, I like that you can see through these bags to know what is inside of them.

This is also a really good method for teaching your children to pack for themselves. Give them a bag for each day you will be gone and tell them what each bag should hold. This (should) ensure you don’t get to your destination to realize that you only have 2 pair of underwear and no pajamas.

Happy Funventuring!
