Flashback Arcade - Murfreesboro, TN
As part of our “staycation” adventure this summer, we decided to check out the Flashback Arcade in Murfreesboro (about 30 miles southeast of Nashville). This place is a mom’s dream on a hot or rainy summer day, and the name says it all. When we entered, I was immediately transported back to the arcade at the skating rink we frequented when I was a kid.
Decked out with black lights and glow in the dark carpet, the Flashback Arcade is filled with more pinball machines than I have ever seen in one place and every video game that I ever played as a kid, as well as several modern favorites.
The best part is, you don’t have to take a roll of quarters with you to play. Admission to Flashback Arcade is $15, and you get a wristband which gives you free play on nearly all of the games for the entire day. You are even able to come and go. There are 3 or 4 specialty games, including the claw machine, which do require additional funds.
This was definitely a favorite with my guys, and they have been begging to go back ever since. So, be sure to add this one to your list if you will be in the area. If you want to make a whole day out of it, check out Earth Experience and the Catfeine Cat Cafe while you are in Murfreesboro as well!
